RP terms for beginners
1. rp short for roleplay.
2. An NPC is a character in an rp other than the main character you use (ex. Say your character is a knight and travels to a village for supplies. He enters a shop and buys a few weapons, food, etc. The shopkeeper would be counted as an npc in that scenario.)
3. To meta-game is for your character to know something they shouldn't regarding to the rp (ex. Say one of your characters is kidnapped and taken somewhere. If the other characters magically know where they have been taken (or guess it correctly on the first try) without proper reasoning, then it is meta-gaming.)
4. To god-mod is to make your character god-like in the aspect that they can't be touched in combat, force other characters into making different moods, etc. (ex. Let's say you're in combat with another user's character. If you say something like: "(insert character's name) stabs the other person in the eye, causing them to die," that is god-modding.)
5. "to put an M-tag into a title for mature content" simply means that if you have/plan to have content in the rp that could be considered Adult (check the rp guidelines if you aren't sure) that you put an M in the rp's title. (ex. if an rp title A Night in the Night Mother's Den was to have M-rated content, you would simply change the title to A Night in The Night Mother's Den (M). )
